Did You Know?

The word 'shire' means something which has been shorn off, or separated. The district of Gloucester was shorn off from the great territory of the Mercians, and became Gloucestershire.

Did You Know?

The nickname 'Unready' is derived from the word 'un-raed' which meant 'lack of council' or 'ill-advised'. It seems that 'King Ethelred the Unready' was either easily persuaded or made bad decisions, or both!

Mercia was originally an Anglo-Saxon kingdom centred on the valley of the River Trent in what is now the Midlands. By 1007 it was a province of Saxon England.

Moving a Small Business

There can be many reasons to change the location of your business. Mounting running costs that can be lowered in another location, a better proximity to places of collaboration or simply the desire to move to a better, perhaps more peaceful place, are just some of them. If you have a business in Gloucestershire or anywhere else for that matter, and are looking to move, here are some tips on how to go about doing it.

Finding the right removals company for your business is important. Searching for Removals Brighton should help you find the companies with a web presence, and once you have a list of companies; you can start short listing till you have found the right company for you.

But of course removals companies only enter the picture once you have made up your mind about moving. A lot of thought and consideration must go into that decision. Where you do want to move to, and why exactly do you wish to move? These are some questions that you must have clear answers to.

Once you have decided to move, it is important to make sure that you're aware of the costs of moving, from property costs to moving costs to all the other expenses required to move your office and set it up in a new place.

Moving home is very different from moving a business. When you move home, you only need to tell friends and family about it, but when you move your business, everyone who is a potential client needs to know about it. After all, your business depends on your clients! Communicate clearly on all possible platforms that you have moved and where you have moved to.
